Rent-a-Show AG, Zollikerstrasse 141, CH-8008 Zurich (hereinafter also “we”, “us”) is pleased about your visit to our website, available at: https://www.swiss-darts-trophy.ch (hereinafter “Website”)  and that you are interested in our products and services. The protection of your personal data is important to us. In this Privacy Policy, we explain how we collect your personal data, what we do with it, for what purposes and on what legal grounds this occurs, and what rights and claims you have in this regard. If necessary, we will inform you of any additional processing activities not mentioned in this Privacy Policy by providing timely written notice. In addition, we may inform you separately about the processing of your data, e.g., in consent forms, contract terms, additional privacy policies, forms, and notices. We use the term “data” here interchangeably with “personal data” or “personally identifiable information.”

If you provide or disclose data to us about other individuals—such as contacts at your company, family members, coworkers, etc.—we assume that you are authorized to do so and that this data is accurate. By providing data about third parties, you confirm this. Please also ensure that these third parties have been informed of this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy is designed to meet the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and the Swiss Data Protection Act (“DSG”). However, whether and to what extent these laws apply depends on the specific circumstances

In certain cases, we collaborate with one of our group companies (show tickets AG), specifically in connection with certain ticket sales where we do not engage our contractual partner Ticketcorner. In these cases, while we determine the terms of the ticket sale, show tickets is responsible for handling the entire ticket sales process.

We have designated an internal position responsible for all data protection matters and available to assist you with your inquiries. You can contact us regarding your data protection concerns and the exercise of your rights as follows:

III. Categories of data we process

​

The processing of your data is limited to data necessary for the operation of a fully functional website and for the provision of our content, features, products, and services. We collect only data that is necessary for the performance and fulfillment of our tasks and services or that you voluntarily provide to us. Depending on the context and purpose of the processing, we may process the following data:

- Technical data: When you use our website or other electronic services, we may collect your IP address and information about your operating system and devices, the name and URL of the requested website, the date, region, and time of use, the GMT time zone difference, a notification indicating whether a request was successful (access status/HTTP status code), the amount of data transferred, websites accessed via our website, the website from which access is made (so-called referrer URL), the type of browser you use to access our online service, the name of any internet service providers, the type and version of the browser used, and other information provided by the user (such as geographic origin, language settings, add-ons used, screen resolution, etc.), logs generated in our systems (e.g., the log of user logins to our website). We generally retain technical data for 24 months. To ensure the functionality of these services, we may also assign you or your device an individual code (e.g., in the form of a cookie; see Section XII ). The technical data alone generally does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your identity. However, in the context of user accounts, registrations, access controls, or the fulfillment of contracts, it may be linked to other categories of data (and thus, where applicable, to you personally).

- Contact Information: When you contact us—for example, via the online contact form provided on the website—we collect the contact information you provide in that context, including the method of communication (e.g., email address, phone number, etc.), as well as the personal information requested in the online contact form, so that we know who submitted the form and how we can contact that person. We also record your inquiry (via a drop-down menu) and, if applicable, any additional information you provide in a text field provided for this purpose. Furthermore, we offer a telephone and electronic (via text message) service to provide daily updates on the upcoming performance. In this case, we may process the cell phone number you provide.

- Newsletter: If you subscribe to one of our newsletters on the website, we also ask for your email address, title, last name, first name, and address so that we know which newsletter to send to whom. To unsubscribe from this service, please use the corresponding link in the respective newsletter that we provide for this purpose.

- Online Services / Ticket Purchases: All orders, offers, or services that you can book on our website can also be processed through our contractual partner, Ticketcorner. Data processing in these cases is carried out in accordance with Ticketcorner’s privacy policy under Ticketcorner’s responsibility; please refer to for more information. After clicking the corresponding button on our website, you will be redirected to the Ticketcorner website.

- Gift Certificates: You also have the option to order or purchase gift certificates. We provide an e-shop for this purpose and, in this context, collect information regarding the gift certificate amount, the recipient, the issuer (gift giver), the delivery address for the gift certificate, and the payment method. show tickets AG is responsible for processing gift certificate sales. Please review their privacy policy directly on the show tickets website.

- Contract Data: We collect contract data in connection with the conclusion or performance of a contract, e.g., information about the products and the services provided or to be provided, as well as data from the period prior to the conclusion of the contract, information that is required or used for the performance of a contract, and information regarding feedback (e.g., complaints, satisfaction surveys, etc.). We generally collect this data from you, from contractual partners, and from third parties involved in the execution of the contract, as well as from third-party sources and publicly available sources. We generally retain this data for 10 years from the last contractual activity, but at least from the end of the contract. This period may be longer if required for evidentiary purposes, to comply with legal or contractual requirements, or for technical reasons.

- Behavioral and Preference Data: Depending on our relationship with you, we seek to get to know you better and tailor our products, services, and offers to your needs. To this end, we collect and use data about your behavior and preferences, which we gather from you, e.g., by collecting and linking the technical data mentioned above or data we obtain via cookies—such as click and browsing behavior on the website, time spent on a specific page, or links to the embedded websites of our contractual partners.

- Other Data: We may also collect data on who participates in an event or similar activities and when. In addition, we collect data when you apply for a job with us—which is covered in a separate privacy policy—or when you wish to learn more about other events. The retention period for this data depends on the purpose and is limited to what is necessary; this ranges from a few days to reports on events with images, which may be retained for several years or longer. We also provide information about other events on the website. If you would like details about an upcoming event, you will be redirected to the respective page of the event organizer.

Much of the data mentioned in this section III is provided to us by you. You are generally not obligated to do so, but you must provide data to us or our contractual partners (e.g., ticket sales outlets) as part of your contractual obligation under the relevant agreement so that we can interact with you or fulfill your request or claim. In addition, the processing of technical data is unavoidable when using our website.

IV. Purposes of processing

We process your data for the following purposes:

- Communication: We process your data for the purpose of communicating with you, responding to inquiries, and enabling you to exercise your rights (Sections XI ), as well as to contact you in case of follow-up questions. For this purpose, we use, in particular, communication data and master data. We retain this data to document our communication with you, for training purposes, and for quality assurance.

- Contract Performance: We process your data to conclude, execute, and manage a contract with you, if applicable. In particular, we process communication data, master data, and contract data about you. This may also include data about third parties, e.g., if you order products or services on behalf of a third party.

- Marketing and Relationship Management: We process your data for marketing and relationship management purposes. For example, we send personalized newsletters about our products and services. Marketing and relationship management may involve contacting you via email, phone, or other channels for which we have your contact information. You may object to such marketing activities at any time or withdraw your consent (see Section XI ). For relationship management purposes, we maintain a customer relationship management system (“CRM”) to provide you with information about products and services offered to you, interactions, interests, marketing initiatives, newsletters, invitations to events, and other information. Furthermore, we process your data for market research, to improve our services and operations, and for product development

- Security/Risk Management: We process your data to protect our IT and other infrastructure (e.g., buildings). For example, we process data to monitor, analyze, and audit our networks and IT infrastructure. We may also use surveillance systems, such as cameras, for security purposes. In such cases, we will inform you separately where applicable. We also process your data as part of our risk management and corporate governance to protect ourselves against criminal or abusive activities.

- Compliance with Laws: We process your data to comply with legal requirements, such as those related to money laundering and terrorist financing, tax obligations, etc., and we may need to request additional information from you to meet such requirements or because it is required by law or by regulatory authorities.

- Corporate Management and Business Development: As part of our business development, we may sell businesses, parts of businesses, or companies to others, acquire them from others, or enter into partnerships, which may result in the exchange and processing of data based on your consent.

V.  Legal Basis for Processing Your Data

​

To the extent that we have obtained your consent, we process your data based on that consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time with future effect by sending us a written notice (email to: datenschutz@fbm.ch ). Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing we carried out prior to your withdrawal, nor does it affect the processing of your data based on other legal grounds.

If we have not requested your consent, we process your data for other legal reasons, such as a contractual obligation, a legal obligation, a vital interest of the data subject or another natural person, the performance of a public task, a legitimate interest—which includes compliance with applicable law and the marketing of our products and services—as well as the interest in better understanding our markets and managing and developing our business, including its operations, in a secure and efficient manner.

VI. Disclosure of data to third parties

​

In connection with our contracts, the website, our services and products, our legal obligations, or otherwise to safeguard our legitimate interests and for the additional purposes listed in Section IV , we also transfer your data to third parties, in particular to the following categories of recipients. All of these categories of recipients may, in turn, engage third parties, meaning that your data may also become accessible to them. We may restrict processing by certain third parties (e.g., IT providers), but not by others (e.g., government agencies, banks, cooperation partners, and hotel partners, etc.).

- Group companies: You can find a list of our group companies here. The group companies may use the data for the same purposes as we do, including processing ticket purchases and advertising their own products and services.

- Contractual partners, including customers and cooperation partners: If required by the relevant contract, we will disclose your data to other contractual partners. If we sell or purchase a business or assets, we may disclose your data to the potential seller or buyer of such a business or asset to whom we have assigned or transferred our rights and obligations.

- Government Authorities: We may disclose data to government agencies, courts, and other authorities in Switzerland or abroad if we are legally obligated or authorized to do so. These authorities process data about you that they receive from us under their own responsibility.

- Service Providers and Third-Party Providers in Connection with Activities on Our Website: We work with service providers in Switzerland and abroad who process data about you on our behalf or under joint responsibility with us, or who receive data about you from us under their own responsibility (e.g., IT providers, shipping companies, advertising service providers, login service providers, cleaning companies, security firms, banks, insurance companies, telecommunications companies, credit bureaus, address verification providers, and attorneys) or whom we commission to process data for one of the purposes mentioned above on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions.

We also allow certain third parties to collect data from you on their own responsibility on our website and at events we host (e.g., media photographers, providers of tools that we have integrated into our website, etc.). To the extent that we are not significantly involved in this data collection, these third parties are solely responsible for it. For further information on activities on our website, please see Section VIII below.

For our website we use the Wix.com service from Wix.com Ltd., Nemal St. 40, 6350671 Tel Aviv, Israel. Wix.com is a cloud-based platform for creating, publishing and hosting websites. VIII. Third-Party Providers and Social Plug-ins

 

a. General Information

We use our own tools as well as third-party services (which may themselves use cookies) on our website, in particular to improve the functionality or content of our website (e.g., integration of videos or maps), to compile statistics, and to display advertisements. We also use social media plug-ins, which are small software components that establish a connection between your visit to our website and a third-party provider. The social media plug-in informs the third-party provider that you have visited our website and may transmit cookies to the third-party provider that it has previously placed on your web browser. For more information on how these third-party providers use the data they collect via their social media plug-ins, please refer to their respective privacy policies. We also offer contractual partners (e.g., sponsors, hotel partners, bus partners, and cooperation partners) the option to place a button that you can click to be redirected to the respective contractual partner’s website. In these cases, the contractual partner is then responsible for processing your data in accordance with its own privacy policy.

Currently, we may use services from the following service providers and advertising partners in particular; their contact information and further details regarding the specific data processing activities can be found in their respective privacy policies:

Some of the third-party providers we use may be located outside of Switzerland. Information on the transfer of data abroad can be found under Section VIII . From a data protection perspective, they are in some cases “merely” processors on our behalf and in other cases data controllers. As mentioned, the privacy policies contain further details on this. The data collected about you in this context is processed by the platforms and, where applicable, transferred to countries outside the European Union, in particular the United States (“third countries”), which, from the perspective of Switzerland or the European Economic Area (EEA), may not guarantee an adequate level of protection for data processing in accordance with Swiss/EU standards. In such cases, Section VIII applies.
 

b. Information on the Use of Caymland M4 (Marketing Automation)

We use the Caymland M4 marketing automation platform from Caymland Technologies AG, Waldmannstrasse 9a, CH-9014 St. Gallen, Switzerland (Tel. +41 71 313 80 45, info@caymland.com) on our website. Below, we provide information regarding the associated data processing in accordance with Art. 13 of the GDPR and Art. 19 of the revDSG.

Cookies and Tracking

​

When you visit the site, Caymland M4 sets a cookie named “mtc_id” (first-party cookie). This cookie is used to recognize your browser during subsequent visits and to associate your page activity with a pseudonymous contact profile.
 

  • Cookie name: mtc_id

  • Purpose: To associate page visits with a pseudonymous contact profile

  • Storage Duration: Cross-session (persistent cookie)

  • Category: Marketing
     

The cookie is only set after you have actively consented to the “Marketing” category via our cookie banner (opt-in pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR / Art. 31(1) revDSG). No tracking takes place without your consent.
 

Tracking script
 

Once you have given your consent for marketing, a tracking script from Caymland M4 is loaded. This tracks:
 

  • Page views (page hits): URL, time, referrer, page title

  • Device information: browser type, operating system, screen resolution, language

  • IP address: used for geolocation (city/region) and subsequently stored in pseudonymized form
     

Legal basis: Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR / Art. 31(1) revDSG).
 

Video Tracking
 

Embedded videos on our website may be tracked by Caymland M4. The following data is collected:
 

  • Video URL, total duration, actual viewing time

  • Association with the existing contact profile
     

This data is transmitted to the Caymland M4 instance. Legal basis: Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
 

Forms
 

Our website includes forms that are generated and processed by Caymland M4 (e.g., contact form, newsletter sign-up, application forms). The data you enter (e.g., name, email address, company, message) is transmitted directly to the Caymland M4 instance and stored there in your contact profile.
 

Legal basis: Depending on the form, either pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
 

Content Personalization
 

If a contact profile has been created in Caymland M4 (e.g., by submitting a form or via a personalized link from an email campaign), content on our website can be personalized. This includes:
 

  • Personalized greetings: Display of your name, company, or industry in hero sections and on other pages

  • Industry-specific content: Selection of content based on the industry associated with your profile
     

Personalization is based on the following data fields: title, first name, last name, email, company, industry, city. This data is used exclusively for display on the website and is not shared with third parties.
 

Legal basis: Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or consent, provided the data was collected via tracking that requires consent.
 

Encrypted Link Parameter
 

In email campaigns, an encrypted parameter may be embedded in links. This parameter is decrypted on the server side to derive your contact ID and display personalized content to you—even if no cookie has been set yet. No additional personal data is transmitted in this process.
 

Retention Period and Deletion
 

Contact profiles in Caymland M4 are stored for as long as an active business relationship or a legitimate interest exists. You may request the deletion of your profile at any time (see the section “Withdrawal, Changes, Corrections, and Updates”).
 

Your Rights Regarding Caymland M4
 

You have the right at any time to:
 

  • Withdraw your consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR / Art. 31(3) revDSG)—the lawfulness of the processing carried out prior to withdrawal remains unaffected

  • To request information about the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR / Art. 25 revDSG)

  • To request the rectification, erasure, or restriction of processing (Art. 16–18 GDPR / Art. 32 revDSG)

  • To object to the processing (Art. 21 GDPR)

  • To request data portability (Art. 20 GDPR / Art. 28 revDSG)
     

IX.Transfer of Data Abroad

​

We process and store data primarily in Switzerland and the European Economic Area (EEA), but depending on the circumstances—for example, through subcontractors of our service providers or in proceedings before foreign courts or authorities—we may potentially process data in any country in the world.

​

If a recipient of our data transfers is located in a country without adequate data protection, we contractually oblige the recipient to maintain a sufficient level of data protection (for this purpose, we use the European Commission’s revised Standard Contractual Clauses, which are available here: https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/dec_impl/2021/914/oj? , including the supplements required for Switzerland), unless the recipient is already subject to a legally recognized framework for ensuring data protection. We may also transfer data to a country without adequate data protection without entering into a separate agreement if we can rely on an exception provision. An exception may apply, in particular, in the case of legal proceedings abroad, but also in cases of overriding public interest or if the performance of a contract that is in your interest requires such a disclosure (e.g., when we disclose data to our correspondent law firms), if you have given your consent, or if obtaining your consent within a reasonable timeframe is not possible and the disclosure is necessary to protect your life or physical integrity or that of a third party, or if the data in question is data you have made publicly available and you have not objected to its processing. Most providers have a European branch (e.g., a subsidiary) that acts as our contractual partner. According to their own statements, these entities maintain an adequate level of data protection, including with regard to data transfers to third countries, e.g., by entering into Standard Contractual Clauses with their contractual partners as data recipients or by obtaining certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

X. How long we keep your personal information

​

We process your data only for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it, including compliance with statutory retention obligations and, to the extent necessary to assert or defend legal claims, until the end of the respective retention period or until the relevant claims have been resolved. Upon expiration of the applicable retention period, we will securely destroy your data in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

XI. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your data, to protect it against unauthorized or unlawful processing, and to mitigate the risks of loss, accidental alteration, unintended disclosure, or unauthorized access. Nevertheless, we and your data may fall victim to cyberattacks, cybercrime, brute-force methods, hacking, and other fraudulent and malicious activities, including but not limited to viruses, forgeries, malfunctions, and disruptions, which are beyond our control and responsibility and cannot be completely ruled out or prevented even by appropriate security measures.

Depending on applicable data protection laws, you have various rights regarding our processing of your data:

- Right of Access: You have the right to request information from us regarding whether we process your personal data and, if so, what data we process.

- Right to Rectification: We strive to keep your personal data accurate, up-to-date, and complete. We encourage you to contact us and let us know if your personal data is incorrect or changes so that we can keep your personal data up to date.

- Right to erasure: You have the right to request that we erase your data if the data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or if your data has been processed unlawfully, among other reasons.

- Right to Restriction of Processing: You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your data under certain circumstances.

- Right to Data Portability: You have the right to request that we provide certain data to you in a commonly used electronic format or transfer it to another data controller.

- Right to Withdraw Consent: If we process data based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent. As soon as we receive notification at that you have withdrawn your consent, we will no longer process your data for the purpose(s) to which you originally consented, unless there is another legal basis for the processing.

- Right to File a Data Protection Complaint: If you believe your data protection rights may have been violated, you may file a complaint in Switzerland with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, in the EU, with the competent authority of the respective member state (https://www.edpb.europa.eu/about-edpb/about-edpb/members_de) and explain why you believe your data is not being processed in compliance with data protection regulations. We ask that you contact us first (see Section II so that we can work together to find a solution).

- Right to Object: Under applicable data protection law, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data under certain circumstances, particularly if your data is processed in the public interest, based on a balancing of interests, or for direct marketing purposes.

XIII. Cookies

We use cookies on our website and may also allow certain third parties to do so. Cookies are small files that your browser automatically creates and that are stored on your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our website, e.g., to simplify your use of the website and our services and to obtain information for the purpose of improving our services.
